Eight years ago today my 27-inch 2011 iMac tried to kill me when my beard got trapped in its DVD drive. To commemorate this harrowing event I commissioned a great work of art.
The brief to the artist was:
Hey pumpkin, do you want to draw something for Daddy? A long time ago when Daddy was working at his computer he got his beard stuck in the side of it and couldn’t get away and he nearly died. Do you think you could draw a picture of that happening?
After three different revisions, this was the final result. I’m mostly happy with it, except I’m not sure she quite captured my expression accurately.
