Dear mister robber

Dear mister (or ms though I doubt it) robber,

Thank you for smashing my car window last week while it was parked in my parking space. The lousy handful of change that you stole, that probably amounted to a maximum of $15, is now going to cost me $463 in repairs (along with a couple of hours of cleaning up and delaying a trip I wanted to take). I hope that it was really worth it for you and that you did really need the money — next time I might just leave my doors unlocked to save us both the hassle.

Cheers,
Your victim,
Chris

  1. Had a guy trying to steal the radio out of my car… but instead of breaking the class, he tried to bend the door open with a crowbar. Of course that didn’t go so well. He couldn’t get the radio and ran away, leaving me with a broken door that had to be replaced and the whole side of the car had to be re-painted. Setting me back $2500.

    Thanks Mr. Robber!

PS: Hope it makes you feel a little better. He could have been just as dumb.

  2. Update: Turns out they also tried to get in by levering the doors open with a crow bar (both sides). There are scratches and rust dust in a few places on each door and one of the side mirrors has had its case cracked and separated from the door. Props to Hyundai Excel door security at least!

  3. Leaving the doors unlocked doesn’t help… thieves really aren’t that smart. I used to have a 1969 MGB, I didn’t have door keys and so the doors were never locked in the 4 years I owned it! So what did the thief do to steal my $200 stereo? Ripped open the 1 month old $450 roof. If he had just tried the door first, he could have stolen a brand new roof as well!

  4. What next oysta.

    That’s bullshit..

It must suck to be a junky and need that next hit so badly that they do this crap. Its 99% always related to drugs.
