I used to have a 1969 MGB, I didn't have door keys and so the doors were never locked in the 4 years I owned it! So what did the thief do to steal my $200 stereo? Ripped open the 1 month old $450 roof. If he had just tried the door first, he could have stolen a brand new roof as well! Leaving the doors unlocked doesn’t help… thieves really aren’t that smart. There are scratches and rust dust in a few places on each door and one of the side mirrors has had its case cracked and separated from the door. Props to Hyundai Excel door security at least! Of course that didn't go so well. He couldn't get the radio and ran away, leaving me with a broken door that had to be replaced and the whole side of the car had to be re-painted.
